Medical Benefits of Ambroxol, Guaifenesin, Menthol and Terbutaline Suspension

Ambroxol + Guaifenesin + Menthol + Terbutaline suspension is used in the treatment of COPD and upper tract respiratory infection.  The suspension belongs to the category of medication called expectorants that provide relief from cough and other respiratory infections. The medicine is composed of Ambroxol, Guaifenesin, Menthol and Terbutaline.

Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Menthol is an organic compound that produces a sensation of coolness and relieves minor throat irritation. Terbutaline is a bronchodilator that relaxes the muscles in the airways and widens the airways. Therefore, the combined effect of Ambroxol + Guaifenesin + Menthol + Terbutaline suspension is used to provide relief from cough.
