Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q1. Can Mefenamic acid with paracetamol for fever be used for period pain every month?
A- Yes. It is widely used to treat dysmenorrhea. It is best taken as soon as you have the first signs of cramps, and for as short a time as is necessary, only as prescribed by your doctor and no more than for 2 to 3 days a month.

Q2. Can this fever pain syrup for children be taken for a long period of time?
A- No. As with any NSAID, long-term treatment may lead to renal compromise and damage to the stomach lining. MINTA-P should only be taken to control acute pain. Your doctor should be consulted if regular use is required.

Q3. Can Mefenamic acid paracetamol syrup be taken with antibiotics?
A- It may, however, be important that you notify your doctor of all drugs you are taking. In addition, the risk of gastric irritation is increased with some combination drugs, and these should never be taken without the advice of a medical professional.

Q4. What is the difference between MINTA-P and a normal Paracetamol tablet?
A- Paracetamol alone treats fever and pain centrally only. MINTA-P combines Mefenamic Acid, which is an NSAID that can also be taken orally to produce anti-inflammatory effects. This means it is especially useful when the pain is caused by inflammation, for instance, with the treatment of dysmenorrhoea, and with a toothache.
